Myriad Pharmaceuticals was founded in 1998, and has grown into an organization capable of identifying novel drug targets, finding lead molecules, developing drug candidates and finally, to designing and executing clinical programs. From the very beginning, we have stuck with a strategy that we believe is a model for success in the biopharmaceutical industry. We focus on disease areas for which there is a large, unmet medical need and we apply a novel approach to therapeutic development based on new technologies and new ways of looking at drug development problems.

Founded in 1991, Myriad Genetics emerged as a world leader in the discovery and sequencing of disease-related genes and the elucidation of their biochemical pathways. In addition to a strong drug development pipeline, Myriad continues to develop and commercialize medical tests made possible by our ground-breaking gene and protein discoveries including the BRCA1 and BRCA2 breast cancer genes. Going forward, Myriad is uniquely positioned to develop and commercialize new medical tests and pharmaceutical therapies to prevent or mitigate the toll of mankind's deadliest diseases.
